Finally, there are enough parts to start assembling the engine.
400 Block bored .040 over, decked to 9" and Glyptal painted
ARP studs installed, Crank in, clearances checked
Crane Hyd Roller
222* and 230* @ .050
.509 and .528 Lift
112LSA
Cam dial in
Adjustable pushrod for determining the correct length
Lite springs help with checking
piston to valve
clearance and pushrod length
The Keith Black pistons and the Scat
5.7" rods are in.
I forgot how much fun spirolocks were to install.
Cam end-clearance checked and BHJ balancer installed.
GM Roller lifters, retainers, and tray installed
TFS Twisted Wedge heads bolted on and ARP bolts torqued
Pushrods and Crane roller rockers in place.
Edelbrock SY1 bolted in-place
Throttle body lid and magnesium valve
covers
check for fit, looks and clearance.
Finally!!
The engine is on the test stand.
